History

1961

Josef Ilmer, the son of a Val Venosta blacksmith founded the Ilmer Josef one-man business in Ciardes and spent his time producing wheelbarrows, concrete mixers and general metalwork.

After intense development work the first motor-driven mulching machine was delivered.

1971

In addition to mobile mulchers, mulching machines suitable for operation on tractors were manufactured and sold. In later years the first employees were engaged and production was expanded.

1979

Major,new product ranges of fork-lift trucks and rear-loaders were introduced onto the market. The success story continued with the sale of Holder brand orchard tractors as a second mainstay under the company name of Ilmer & Götsch OHG.

The range of products was expanded once more with the introduction of hydraulic wood-splitters.

Founding of the firm of Ilmer Josef & Söhne

1991

In this year the one thousandth mulching machine was produced and sold.

1999

More than 30 years later the last mobile mulchers with 2-cylinder diesel motors were produced before production ceased.

2002

The two sons took over the business and changed the company name to Ilmer Walter und Oswald OHG.

2003

The paint shop and production were expanded and modernised.

2005

Foundation of the Ilmer Maschinenbau GmbH Company. The manufacture of mulching machines, fork-lift trucks and rear-loaders continued and these products were distributed over a growing network of retailers.

2006

In addition to the agricultural machinery the scaffolding product group was becoming increasingly important.

2007

The 1001st fork-lift truck was delivered.

2009

The 3000th mulching machine was delivered.

2013

The warehouse was expanded by 450 m² and production was modernised.

2014

Nowadays there are more than 15 employees and the export share is increasing by more than 35% of annual turnover.
